Community verification
When a visitor uses the optional community-verification feature on a court page, PickleFinder stores the confirmation time, a general-accuracy signal, and any optional lines, courts, or nets checks. The feature does not publish names, comments, reviews, or individual submissions.
To reduce duplicate confirmations, the verification service creates a one-way hashed identifier from platform-provided request information and a server secret. PickleFinder does not store the raw IP address used to create that identifier. Public court pages display only a 90-day aggregate count and the most recent confirmation date.
If a visitor sends a change report, it is handled as a Netlify form submission with the court ID, court name, canonical page URL, generated-page timestamp, report category, note, and optional email. Reports are reviewed before official listing data is changed.
Information users submit
If users submit a court, correction, or contact request, the site may receive the information included in that message, such as name, email address, court details, and notes. This information is used to review submissions, respond to questions, or improve the directory.
Analytics and ads
The site may use analytics or advertising tools that collect standard technical information such as device type, browser, approximate location, pages viewed, and ad interactions. These tools are used to understand site performance, improve pages, and support advertising where applicable.
If advertising is enabled, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve ads. Google’s advertising cookies may allow Google and its partners to serve ads based on a visitor’s visits to PickleFinder and/or other websites. Visitors can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.
If third-party ad serving is used, other vendors or ad networks may also use cookies or similar technologies. Where those vendors provide an opt-out mechanism for personalized advertising, visitors can use that mechanism; visitors may also find information about opting out from participating companies at YourAdChoices. PickleFinder will update this policy if the advertising services used on the site materially change.
Third-party links
PickleFinder links to facility websites, maps, municipal pages, clubs, and other third-party resources. Those websites have their own privacy practices. Users should review official facility pages before submitting personal information or registering for programs.
Trust and quality notes
PickleFinder is designed to be useful even when a listing is incomplete. When a court count, schedule, fee, surface, or open-play detail is not confirmed, the safer choice is to say that the detail is not listed and point users to the official source. That prevents the site from becoming a directory of guesses.
The site also separates directory usefulness from advertising. Ads, sponsorships, or affiliate links should not create fake editorial claims. Users should be able to tell when something is sponsored and should still have access to practical court information, corrections, guides, and official source links.
Because pickleball access changes often, users should treat PickleFinder as a planning tool. Before making a trip, confirm the details with the facility, municipality, club, or official booking source.
