About Sam
Sam is the founder and editor of PickleFinder.ca. After starting to play pickleball in summer 2025, it quickly became a regular game among his friends. He created PickleFinder to make it easier for players across Ontario to find courts and understand what to expect before arriving.
Why PickleFinder exists
I created PickleFinder after repeatedly running into the same problem: finding a court online didn't necessarily tell me whether I could actually play pickleball there. I'd arrive at locations expecting pickleball courts only to find tennis courts without pickleball lines, missing nets, or information that wasn't clear beforehand. I wanted to build a simple, free resource that helps players know what they're getting before they leave home. Whether someone is playing for the first time or competing regularly, PickleFinder is designed to help them compare things like indoor versus outdoor courts, free versus paid access, court availability, rentals, open play and other useful details.
Relevant experience

Editorial responsibility
Sam is the one responsible founder and editor of PickleFinder.ca. He reviews source-linked corrections and facility updates, maintains the Ontario court database, checks research calculations and limitations before marking a report owner-reviewed, and keeps editorial decisions separate from advertising or sponsorship.
Player submissions are moderated. They are useful evidence to investigate, not facts that are published automatically.
